An accomplished plastic surgeon, Dr. Furnas has devoted her life to cosmetic surgery and artistic excellence. In addition to repairing birth defects for children during volunteer missions to South America and the South Pacific, Dr. Furnas has served clients from all walks of life in California communities throughout Sonoma County, Napa County and Marin County. Dr. Furnas graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine and completed a six-year residency in Plastic Surgery at Stanford University before receiving a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School. In 1992, she relocated to Northern California, where she practices cosmetic surgery of the face, body and breast with her husband, Dr. Francisco Canales. She is board-certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and the prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Since 1992, Dr. Canales has performed plastic surgery in Santa Rosa. The practice he shares with Dr. Furnas is extremely convenient for residents of Sonoma County and Marin County. Breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, facelift and rhinoplasty are just a few of the plastic surgery procedures he performs at Plastic Surgery Associates.
Dr. Canales earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Stanford University, where he remained to complete his General Surgery and Plastic Surgery Residencies at Stanford University Hospital. Dr. Canales left California to become a plastic surgery faculty member at Harvard Medical School, then returned to the West Coast to serve as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, as well as Chief of Surgery at Warrack Hospital. He is board-certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the esteemed American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
