Long Scar (Traditional) Facelift
With a traditional face lift, patients who have major loss of skin tone and elasticity, hanging skin in both face and neck obtain substantial lifting with an incision concealed within the hairline and folds of the ear that extends from the temple, to the front of the ear, around the back of the ear, and backward beneath the hairline to the nape of the neck.
Short Scar, Mini-Lift, "S" Lift, or Weekend Facelift
For this procedure, patients with less extreme laxity of skin, and in particular those who do not need neck lift, achieve lift with an incision that extends from the temple, behind the hairline, to the ear.
